Application

In order to participate to the second RC21-IJURR-FURS School on “Comparative Urban Studies” you have to go through the following application procedure.

1) Send in your abstract to the relevant session coordinator (for a list of sessions see here www.rc21.org/conferences/amsterdam2011. When you send in your abstract please specify that you also apply for the school in “Comparative Urban Studies”
2) Send in your application (online, see below the form);

IMPORTANT: Be aware of the fact that the deadlines are:

1) December 21st for the abstract submission;
2) January 31st for the scholarship application.

PARTICIPATION  FEE
The fee for the course is 750 Euro. This amount covers organizational costs and includes accommodation (11 nights in double rooms), a welcome reception, the e-reader and the final dinner. For those who do not need accommodation, the fee is 300 Euro. Selected applicants will be informed about the payment procedures.

SCHOLARSHIPS
In case you apply for one of the 15 fellowships available, please download the form, fill it in and send it within the following deadline: January 31th, 2011.
The Scholarship covers the following costs:

1) Second School registration fee & RC21 conference fee
2) Accommodation in a shared double room for 11 nights
3) Flat travel costs contribution (up to max 500 Euro, according to distance and available resources)
4) eReader accompanying the lectures
5) Welcome reception drink
6) Farewell dinner

All other costs (board, local transportation, etc.) have to be covered directly by you.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
 In order to be eligible for a scholarship you have to:

a) Come from a country classified under category “B” and “C” by ISA (see: http://www.isa-sociology.org/table_c.htm).
b) Have an accepted abstract for the RC21-CEM conference “Inequality, Inclusion and the Sense of Belonging”. If your abstract will not be accepted this will not automatically exclude you from the School.
c) Send in two reference letters by scholars who know you best (by e-mail) to yuri.kazepov@uniurb.it
d) Send in your CV in English.
e) Send in the application form to the School (download above).
